Structured cabling defines a generic telecommunication wiring system for commercial buildings, and comprises the cabling, connectors and accessories used to connect local area network and telephone system equipment within a building. It breaks cabling systems down into two main elements, horizontal wiring and vertical (or backbone) wiring. Structured cabling standards define the media, topology, termination and connection points, and administrative practice to be used.
Structured Cabling is the core element of the corporate network and it is important that your solution is designed and installed correctly to ensure that it meets your requirements for today and for the future.

Structured Cabling enables the homeowner to operate electronic equipment from any room in the house. The concept is simple: plug a phone in any room, plug a cable TV or Satellite TV into any room, listen to an audio system anywhere and even operate a printer from computers around the home without struggling with wires.
Special Communication outlets with phone, fax, data, audio or video jacks are installed in each room, a Distribution Panel is mounted in the home, and wires are run between the panel and each room supplying phone, video or audio signals to each jack.
Components of a Home Structured Wiring System:
- The Distribution Panel Usually located in one of the closets or the attic of your home, the distribution panel does two things: 1) terminates all of the service provider services: telephone, DSL, Cable TV, Cable Modem… and 2) Distributes those signals to locations throughout the house. Audio/Video/Security Camera sources from within your home can also be delivered to this central location for distribution throughout the house. Control devices in the distribution panels also allow home automation capabilities. An electrical power source in the distribution panel provides power to various powered devices installed in the panel.
- High-performance Cabling Using Cat5e/Cat6/RG6 & Fiber Optic cables that can deliver performance you need today and in the future, cable runs are installed from the distribtion panel to each location in the house where the signal is to distributed. Whether you are pre-wiring your new home, remodel wiring or a working on a do it yourself project, we have the right cables for your application.
- Multi-Media Outlets Convenient plug and play points
How Much Will It Cost?
The total installed cost of a structured wiring system depends on the size of the home, the number of desired technologies, and the number and types of devices connecting the whole-house system to each technology
